The novelty has just arrived and is already available for everyone to install or update. The new version of Firefox was launched by Mozilla and promises to make this browser even better. These are small changes, but they change a lot as it behaves.
According to the company, sites using flexbox layouts load 20% faster than before the update. Restoring old sessions in the browser will be 17% faster, while opening new tabs will be 10% faster on Windows.
Firefox 82 is more than just a performance update. It features a new picture-in-picture button that should be easier to find, as well as a keyboard shortcut for Mac users (Option + Command + Shift + right bracket). The integration of the browser with Pocket has also undergone adjustments so that the user can “explore new articles when saving a web page”.
“Mozilla should continue to be part of something bigger than us, part of the group of people who are looking for a better internet,” wrote Mozilla CEO Mitchell Baker in a blog post in August.

Android bug fix
Mozilla fixed a security flaw that allowed Firefox to “hijack” sessions on Android on cell phones connected to the same Wi-Fi network. The loophole allowed malicious users to open malicious websites or install unwanted extensions on vulnerable devices.
The bug was found by researcher Chris Moberly and affected only versions prior to 68.11.0 of Firefox for Android.
