2020 was another successful year for Fortnite developed by Epic Games: Battle Royale. So far, players have gone through four seasons ranging from a brand new map to the invasion of Marvel Comics characters. One of Fortnite’s most significant attractions is the variety of character skins, gliders, back blings, harvest tools and wraps available through Battle Pass and the item store.
Available for the first time through an Android-only Fortnite tournament, the Galaxy Scout skin has become the latest addition to a long line of Samsung exclusives. Android users can gain this appearance by participating in the Galaxy Cup presented by Samsung in July this year. Participants in each competitive region had to finish within a placement limit to win the Galaxy Scout skin. It was subsequently available for purchase on August 2, along with a pickaxe, gun wrap, and glider. The Galaxy Scout skin sports a female character model with short white hair, sneakers, and the iconic Galactic Fortnite theme. It hasn’t reappeared in the store since the beginning of August.
The ICON series started technically with American DJ Marshmello in February 2019. Almost a year later, on January 16, 2020, Tyler “Ninja” Blevins was immortalized in Fortnite with character skin. The Ninja set featured a male character model with the famous yellow Ninja belt, blue hair, a blue hooded jacket printed with the Ninja logo and black pants. Ninja also received three other character styles, two of which exchanged the human version for a figure similar to a blue eye shadow and the same outfit. Those who purchased the package also received the Dual Katana Harvest Tools, Katana Back Bling and Ninja’s famous PON PON dance.
Epic Games kicked off the New Year with an excellent skin, which set high expectations for 2020. The Astra skin quickly became the favorite skin for competitive and casual players. For 1,500 V-Bucks, players who purchased the Astra won the Shining Star bling and were also able to add the Constellation weapon casing for 500 V-Bucks to complete the set. Astra displayed a female character model with a one-piece outfit, in which players could select a star or constellation theme. Epic has re-released this skin several times since its launch earlier this year, so there’s no reason to believe it won’t happen again anytime soon.
DOUBLE AGENT WILDCARD
Like the Bassassin set, Epic Games released the Double Agent Bundle on July 9, 2019. However, this time, the Double Agent Bundle featured three skins with two styles each for 2,500 V-Bucks. Double Agent Wildcard stood out among the pack due to its clean re-creation of the classic 2018 Wild Card. Simple in its approach, Double Agent Wildcard offered an all white and all black version of the Wild Card skin with a gold T-shirt and colorful mask coordinates to match the outfit. Each skin inside the Dual Agent Pack came with a back ring to match. Packages are not normally released more than once, so Double Agent Wildcard can be difficult to find after leaving the store on July 19th.
